Cory Anthony Russell, a.k.a. SLAB the beat maker and artist, has been doing music since he was 10 years old.

Slab started out as a trumpet player for his middle and high school bands and later received a full band scholarship to Alcorn State University. 

During his matriculation he was introduced to a beat programs.  After the introduction Slab has been inspired by the Hip Hop artist and beat maker Pastor Troy, his music career was sparked with amazing beats, grabbing the ears of many people in and outside his community and across the south. 

Slab has made many tracks for artists in his local community, artists such as QZ, Mayja Lee, SS Like the Chevy, Lil’ G, and also have been featured on some tracks also. 

Slab is currently attending South University getting his masters in Professional Counseling and is also still making beats. 

Music has always been a part of his life. 
Regardless of what he is doing with school and work, Slab still make time to make beats, songs, and produce tracks for upcoming and commercial artists.

Slab intends to perfect his craft to be a beat maker for the up-coming artists of today and hopefully be a part of some songs and/or help produce songs with some of his amazing beats that has have to offer.
